Why should I join Pony Club?

Pony Club is geared to developing leadership skills, independence, responsibility and empathy. Children learn the importance and necessity of planning ahead and anticipating hazards and solutions to sticky situations. They also learn the obligation of considering another living being and anticipating the care it needs.

 

As with any club or group setting, conflicts may arise but Pony Club emphasizes ways of rectifying problems in a diplomatic, orderly fashion. Pony Clubbers learn skills that are useful no matter what they do in life and along the way often make friends and connections to weather any storm.

 

Pony Club provides a setting for mental and social growth, promotes opportunities to learn public speaking skills, develops essential interview skills like answering direct questions under pressure, emphasizes teamwork, encourages group leadership, and nourishes organizational competence.

Is Pony Club just for kids?

No!

Pony Club has opened membership to adults as well. Want to spend time with a group of horse enthusiasts who are interested in expanding their knowledge base? Want to participate in team events in a variety of different equestrian sports with comradery? Want to add to your skillset?

Consider joining Pony Club as an adult member.
